Sandeep Lamichhane drafted by Jaffna Kings in Lanka Premier League
Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been drafted by Jaffna Kings for the upcoming season of the Lanka Premier League.
Lamichhane was selected under the Classic category for a fee of US$20,000 in the draft held on Monday.
The tournament is scheduled to be played from July 17 to August 8 across Colombo, Kandy and Dambulla.
This will be Lamichhane’s second involvement in the Lanka Premier League. He was previously signed by Dambulla Giants for the 2022 season for US$40,000, although he did not feature in the competition.
Lamichhane is currently with Nepal's national team for the Asian Games Qualifier in Singapore. It remains unclear whether he will be available for the tournament, with Nepal scheduled to play a crucial Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series against hosts Netherlands and Namibia during the same period.
