Nepal secured back-to-back wins in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup after a 51-run victory over Bhutan on Thursday. The win keeps Nepal at the top of Group D with two wins from two matches.

After being invited to bat first, Nepal's innings was rescued by a 40-run eighth-wicket partnership between Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chhetry after they had slipped to 67/7.

Sita top-scored with 37 off 28 balls, striking six boundaries, while Rubina made 24 from 21 deliveries with three fours as Nepal posted 113/8 from their 20 overs.

For Bhutan, Sonam Choden returned 3/12 from her four overs while Tshering Zangmo also claimed three wickets, conceding 21 runs. Anju Gurung (2/12), Ritshi Choden (1/26) and Riya Pradhan (1/32) were the other bowlers among the wickets.

In reply, Bhutan managed 62/8 from their 20 overs as none of their batters were able to keep up with the required scoring rate. Opener Dechen Wangmo top-scored with a gritty 39 off 60 balls, including five boundaries.

Rubina Chhetry continued her impressive form with the ball, claiming another three-wicket haul with figures of 3/15 from four overs. Riya Sharma returned 2/20 while Kabita Kunwar and Manisha Upadhyay chipped in with a wicket each.

Nepal will next face Hong Kong in their final group-stage match on Saturday. Before that, Hong Kong will take on Qatar. The group winners from all four groups will advance to the semi-finals.
