Chennai bow out of IPL after massive 89-run loss to Gujarat
Chasing a daunting target of 230, Chennai were bowled out for 140 in just 13.4 overs despite a fighting 47 off 17 balls from Shivam Dube.
Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan starred with three wickets each for Gujarat.
Earlier, Gujarat posted 229/4 after strong knocks from Sai Sudharsan (84), Shubman Gill (64) and Jos Buttler (57*).
The win took Gujarat to 18 points from 14 matches, strengthening their chances of a top-two finish.
Meanwhile Chennai were eliminated after finishing with just 12 points.
