Yatris, Gurkhas earn identical six-wicket victories

Lumbini Yatris and Dangali Gorkhas won their respective matches of the Nepalgunj Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament on Tuesday
In the first match at the Kohalpur Cricket Ground, Yatris defeated Banke Blasters by six wickets. Electing to field first, Yatris restricted Blasters to 138-8 in 20 overs. 
Sonu Tamang hit a blistering 17-ball 58 for Blasters but his innings was not yet enough to guide his side to a winning total. Sonu hit eight sixes and a boundary. Rest of the batters caved in for Blasters. 
Sunil Sunar, Baseer Ahmed and Nijammudin Halwai took two wickets each from their respective four over spells for Yatris. In reply, Yatris chased down the target in 18.5 overs on a back of 46-ball 66 from Bishal Khatri. 
Baseer also played a crucial cameo of 16-ball 35. Gopal singh took two wickets for Blasters.
In the second match, Gorkhas eased to a six-wicket victory over Rolpa Gorillas. 
Gorillas were bundled out for just 95 runs in 18.5 overs before Gorkhalis cantered to victory in 14 overs. Opener Sandeep Sunar made 36 runs while Binayak Giri and Sujan Pun contributed 16 runs each for Gorkhas.
Earlier, skipper Saurabh Khanal topscored for Gorillas with 36 runs from 38 balls. Samsuddin Ansari(11), Sher Oli(10) were other batsmen to reach double digits. 
Man of the match Sagar Dhakal took four and Bishnu Katariya had three scalps for Gorkhas.
Yatris will now compete against Gorkhas in the first match on Wednesday and Bardiya Tigers will be up against Gorillas. 
A total of six teams will be competing in the tournament that saw the auction of a team prior to the event. The winners will receive a cash purse of Rs 110,000.
