Nepal ‘A’ secured a nine-run DLS win after a strong batting performance while chasing a mammoth 303-run target set by Scotland on Saturday at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Opting to bat first, Scotland posted 302 for 8 riding on half-centuries from George Munsey and Michael English. Munsey top-scored with 62 off 51 balls, striking three sixes and six boundaries, while English remained unbeaten on a run-a-ball 56 with three maximums.

For Nepal ‘A’, Aakash Chand led the bowling attack with 3 wickets from his nine overs while conceding 59 runs. Sher Malla, Pawan Sarraf, Bipin Khatri and Kushal Malla chipped in with a wicket each.

Nepal ‘A’ were under pressure early in the chase at 45 for 2 before Ishan Pandey and Sundeep Jora steadied the innings with a 102-run stand for the third wicket.

Ishan scored 50 with seven boundaries, while Sundeep remained unbeaten on 83, hitting nine fours during his knock.

Nepal ‘A’ reached 204 for 4 in 34.5 overs before rain interrupted play, handing the hosts a nine-run win via DLS.
