Sudurpashchim beat Koshi for second win in PM Cup

Sudurpashchim Province secured their second victory of PM Cup 2026, defeating Koshi Province by 7 wickets in Birgunj on Friday.

Chasing a target of 132 runs, Sudurpashchim completed the chase in 19.5 overs. Khadak Bohara played a key role, scoring 66 runs off 45 balls, including 9 fours and 3 sixes.

Kiran Thagunna remained unbeaten on 25, while Abhishek Pal added 14 runs.

For Koshi, Bipin Mahato took two wickets and Gyanendra Shrestha claimed one.

Earlier, Koshi were bowled out for 130 runs in 43.4 overs after being asked to bat first. Shiwansh Bajgain was the top scorer with 25 runs.

Suman Shrestha scored 24, Dipesh Kandel 20, and Firdosh Ansari 18.

Hemant Dhami was the standout bowler for Sudurpashchim, taking 4 wickets for 26 runs in 9 overs. Kiran took 2 wickets, while Narayan Joshi and Saurya Shrestha picked up one wicket each.

Sudurpashchim had earlier beaten Karnali Province but lost to Madhesh Province in their second match.

Meanwhile, Koshi remain winless, with one match abandoned due to rain and three consecutive losses.
