The Nepal government disperses five crore Nepalese rupees to the Cricket Association of Nepal for the preparation of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2024, starting from 2nd June.

The government had asked the board to present their preparatory plans to the National Sports Council after the qualification. According to the source, the council approved all the preparatory plans and granted the amount as demanded.

The Association plans to spend around two to three weeks in the United States of America and West Indies before the global event. The board will be using part of the amount for some bilateral series. Apart from this, they will be eyeing to hire some experts in the coaching panel, specifically for the mega event.

Nepal are participating in the World Cup after 10 years. Their maiden appearance in the global event came back in 2014 when Paras Khadka-led side qualified for the Twenty20 World Cup.

The Himalayan nation is placed in Group D of the event along with South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands.
