Rohit could be rested for third-ODI against Canada
Rohit Kumar Paudel, the relentless match-winner in both matches, may be granted a break in the third match of the Nepal Canada Bilateral Series. The third match is scheduled for Monday with Nepal already clinching the series with a 2-0 scoreline.
According to the source, the team management and selectors are considering resting the skipper for the dead rubber to ensure his rejuvenated returns for the all-important ICC Men’s CWC League 2 series involving the Netherlands and Namibia. Rohit was declared as player of the match in both the matches of the series for his all-round performances. He scored 95 runs and took 6 wickets in the two matches.
Rohit was visibly struggling with his hamstring while batting in the second one day against Canada.
Aarif Sheikh is expected to lead the side in Rohit’s absence for the final one-dayer.
