Riyan Parag penalised for vaping in dressing room
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has been penalised for breaching the code of conduct during an Indian Premier League 2026 match against Punjab Kings.
Parag was fined 25% of his match fee and handed one demerit point after he was seen using a vape inside the dressing room during the second innings.
The act falls under conduct that brings the game into disrepute. Parag admitted the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by match referee Amit Sharma.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is considering further action against the player, team, and officials to safeguard the league’s reputation.
