Rain has the final say as Nepal-Hong Kong clash gets washed out

Nepal's final league game of the Hong Kong T20I Quadrangular Series ended in a no result after persistent rain at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground halted their clash against Hong Kong on Saturday.

Opting to bowl first for the third consecutive game in the series, Rohit Paudel’s side had reduced Hong Kong to 68 for 3 in 9.3 overs before the weather had the final word. Zeeshan Ali top-scored with a brisk 30 off 22 balls, laced with three fours and a six. Lalit Rajbanshi picked up 2 for 19, while Nandan Yadav claimed the other wicket.

Nepal, unbeaten in the series, will now meet Kuwait in Sunday’s final. The two sides faced off earlier in the tournament, where Nepal completed a record chase to win by six wickets. Rohit-led Nepal side will look to end the competition with silverware on the eve of Nepali New Year.
