Prince, Gurnoor and Dubey earn maiden ODI call-ups for Afghanistan series
Shubman Gill will lead the side, while senior stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retain their spots. However, the availability of Rohit and Hardik Pandya depends on fitness clearance due to injury concerns.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar said the team management wants to test new players ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup, especially with South African conditions in mind.
Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for workload management, while Mohammed Siraj is only part of the Test squad. Experienced all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel have also been left out.
The ODI series begins on June 13 in Dharamsala, followed by matches in Lucknow on June 17 and Chennai on June 20.
