Pokhara Avengers retain Bhurtel-led core for NPL Season 3
Pokhara Avengers, ahead of the third season of the Nepal Premier League have retained seven players from their previous squad, including marquee player Kushal Bhurtel.
Young batter Arjun Kumal, wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Kharel, fast bowler Aakash Chand, left-arm spinners Bipin Khatri along with Sagar Dhakal and all-rounder Kiran Thagunna have also been retained as part of the franchise's core group.
The retention list reflects Pokhara's emphasis on preserving a mix of established performers and emerging prospects as they begin preparations for the new season.
Several members of last season's squad will enter the auction pool after the franchise released Krishna Paudel, Trit Raj Das, Abhishek Tiwari, Sandeep Khatri Chhetri and Rohit Chand.
Having finalized their core, Pokhara will now look to fill the remaining spots through the auction, where franchises are expected to reshape their squads ahead of NPL Season 3.
