Paras performs with the bat as 2014 World Cup Legends win Tilottama Extratech Legend Cup
Paras Khadka-led 2014 World Cup Legends won the Tilottama Extratech Legend Cup with a 17-run win over the Rest of Nepal at the Extratech Oval on Monday.
Four teams were formed to perform the inaugural exhibition match at the venue. The ground was constructed on private investment, considering both developmental and business purposes.
2014 World Cup Legends, Rest of Nepal 1996 Legends, and Rupandehi Legends were the teams to showcase the matches.
The 2014 World Cup Legends surpassed the 1996 Legends by five wickets in the first match to place themselves in the final. Likewise, Binod Das-led Rest of Nepal saw off Rupandehi Legends by 16 runs to be in the final.
After winning the toss, Paras smashed a 12-ball 39 to help his team post 101 runs in the allotted 10 overs. Lakpa Lama picked up four wickets in the final for the losing side.
The rest of Nepal could only score 84 runs in 10 overs, losing 9 wickets. Samsung Jung Thapa did the work with the ball, picking up four wickets.
