Abinash Bohora once again
proved why he is called the ‘Lasith Malinga’ of Nepali cricket as the right arm
medium bowler defended two runs in a Super Over against Kathmandu Golden
Warriors giving Butwal Blasters a thrilling win in the Pokhara Premier League.

On a day full of drama where
Dipendra Singh Airee peaked at the right time in Dhangadhi Blues’ six-run win
over Biratnagar Titans, it was Abinash who gave a perfect ending to the day.

Batting first in the second
match, Pawan Sarraf’s 21-ball 37 lifted Warriors to 140-6 in 20 overs. Blasters
were once cruising through and needed just 10 runs in the last 12 balls before
Subodh Bhati bowled a crucial penultimate over conceding just one run and
picking up wicket.

Pawan Sarraf managed to
defend nine runs but gave away eight to force Super Over. Warriors saved two
sixes through Adil Khan and Basanta Regmi as Blasters made 12 runs in the Super
Over. Warriors had all three big-hitting Indian recruits with the bat but there
was Abinash for Blasters.

He bowled the first ball
dot, gave away just a couple in the second and dismissed Tomar in the third.
Abinash then bowled pin-point fuller deliveries in the next two as Warriors
went on to lose their second consecutive game.

Earlier in the first match,
Dipendra Singh Airee was out for a golden duck as Dhangadhi Blues were stopped at
117-8. Titans hardly settle in the innings but some how managed to go close to
target needing just 24 runs in 18 balls with Puneet Mehra yet on the crease.

Dipendra stepped in and made up for his batting
failures when he bowled Puneet in the first ball. He conceded just a single in
that over. Kamal Singh Airee gave away eight runs in the second last over as
Titans required 15 from the last six balls. Dipendra continued to lead with the
ball picking up two wickets despite being hit for a six in between. Titans were
restricted to 112-9.
