Nepal suffered a crushing 69-run defeat to Hong Kong in their final group-stage match of the ACC Women's Premier Cup after being bowled out for just 40.

Chasing a modest target of 110, Nepal's batting collapsed and the innings lasted only 13.3 overs. Soni Pakhrin top-scored with 12, while captain Rubina Chhetry made 10.

No other batter managed to reach double figures. Hong Kong's bowlers dominated throughout, with Iqra Sahar producing outstanding figures of 4 for 4 from her four overs.

Chan Ka and Maryam Bibi claimed two wickets each, while Siu Mei and Joylyn Dhaliwal picked up one apiece. This was also Nepal's lowest total ever in women's T20I, previously being 50 against Bangladesh.

Earlier, after being asked to bat, Hong Kong posted 109-3 in their 20 overs. Yasmin Daswani anchored the innings with an unbeaten 42, while Mariko Hill contributed 29. Marina Lamplough remained not out on 18.

For Nepal, Riya Sharma and Rubina Chhetry took one wicket each. Despite the defeat, Nepal had already secured a place in the quarterfinals.

A semifinal berth is required to qualify for the Women's Asia Cup, with Nepal to face the winner of Group A in quarterfinal.
