Nepal to tour UK ahead of League 2 campaign in Scotland

Nepal senior men's cricket team, currently busy with The Core Camp under head coach Stuart Law, will play five One-Day matches and two T20s during their tour of the United Kingdom in May 2025 as part of their preparation for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series in Scotland. The tour, announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), will run from May 16 to 31 and includes fixtures against university sides, county clubs, and Scotland 'A'.

Nepal will begin their tour with a 50-over match against Cardiff University on May 16 before heading to Herefordshire to face the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on May 19. They are scheduled to play two T20 matches on the same day (May 22) against Gloucestershire. The UK tour wraps up a One-Day match with against Glamorgan on May 26.

Following that, Nepal travel to Scotland for two One-Day matches against Scotland 'A' on May 29 and 31. These matches will serve as their final preparation before the League 2 tri-series begins in Dundee.

The team for the tour can be expected in the upcoming week with the conclusion of Core Camp.

May 19 – OD vs MCC, Herefordshire

May 22 – Two T20s vs Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire

May 26 – OD vs Glamorgan, Glamorgan

May 29 – OD vs Scotland 'A', Scotland

May 31 – OD vs Scotland 'A', Scotland

Nepal will then head into their fourth League 2 tri-series of the 2024–27 cycle, facing hosts Scotland and the Netherlands at Forfarshire Cricket Club in Dundee. They are scheduled to play Scotland on June 2 and 8, and Netherlands on June 4 and 10.

Nepal currently sit seventh on the League 2 points table, having won just two of their 12 matches so far.

The League 2 campaign will be followed up by a T20I tri-series in Scotland.
