Nepal booked their place in the final of the Asian Games Qualifier with a commanding eight-wicket win over Oman in the semi-final on Sunday in Singapore. Nepal will face the winner of the other semi-final between Hong Kong China and Malaysia in Monday's final.

Opting to bat first, Oman could only manage 94 runs before being bowled out. Captain Sufyaan Mahmood top-scored with a gritty 38 off 42 deliveries, including two sixes and two boundaries. He also shared a 35-run partnership with Zubair Ali.

Nepal's bowlers shared the wickets around, with Karan KC leading the attack with figures of 3 for 20. Sompal Kami (2/26) and Sandeep Lamichhane (2/14) picked up two wickets each, while Shahab Alam, Dipendra Singh Airee and Kushal Malla claimed one wicket apiece.

In reply, Nepal completed the chase in just 9.2 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 68-run third-wicket partnership between Lokesh Bam and Rohit Paudel.

Lokesh Bam finished unbeaten on 44 off 26 balls, striking seven boundaries and a six, while Rohit Paudel remained not out on 21.

Kushal Bhurtel, playing after scoring consecutive centuries in his previous two innings, made a brisk 20 off just eight deliveries before being dismissed.

Samir Othman was the only successful Oman bowler, claiming both wickets to fall.
