Nepal end Scotland tour with 34-run loss

Nepal signed off from the Scotland Men's T20I Tri-Series with a 34-run defeat against Scotland at the Clydesdale Cricket Club in Glasgow.

Batting first after winning the toss, Scotland posted 193 for 5. Opener George Munsey led the charge with a blazing 78 off 39 balls, hammering five fours and six sixes. Brandon McMullen added 42 off 30, while Michael Leask struck an unbeaten 26 from 17 balls to lift the total.

Kushal Bhurtel was the most effective bowler for Nepal, finishing with 2 for 20 in his two overs. Rupesh Singh, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Sandeep Lamichhane picked up a wicket each but struggled to contain the scoring.

Nepal faltered early in the chase, slipping to 43 for 4 inside the powerplay. Rohit Paudel (27) and Dipendra Singh Airee (34) tried to rebuild the innings, but both fell before converting their starts. Late in the innings, Rupesh Singh played a fighting knock, remaining unbeaten on 43 off 22 balls with three sixes and a four.

The target, however, proved too steep. Chris Greaves claimed 3 wickets for 27 runs, while Safyaan Sharif was outstanding with 2 for 7 in three overs. Leask and McMullen also contributed with a wicket each to keep Nepal to 159 in reply.

Nepal finish the tri-series with two wins from four games, falling short in their final outing and ending second on the points table. Scotland also ended with two wins but edged ahead on net run rate to top the tri-series at home.
