Former head coach of Nepal Men's national cricket team, Monty Desai, is likely to join the Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise, Kathmandu Gorkhas, as head coach.

Kathmandu Gorkhas recently hinted at Desai's possible arrival by releasing an audio clip on their social media handles clearly featuring his voice, fueling speculation about his potential appointment.

A close source to the franchise has indicated to CricketingCountry that discussions regarding Desai's appointment are advanced, although an official announcement is yet to be made.

The franchise recently announced their retentions for the upcoming season, including marquee player Karan KC, Bhim Sharki, Shahab Alam, Dipesh Kandel, Prateek Shrestha, and Rashid Khan.
