Monty Desai confirmed as head coach of Kathmandu Gorkhas

Monty Desai, the former head coach of Nepal Men's national cricket team, has been officially confirmed as the head coach of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise, Kathmandu Gorkhas.

The franchise made the announcement on Thursday through their official social media handles. Desai’s appointment is seen as a major boost to the Gorkhas ambitions in the upcoming NPL season, after failing to make it to the top four in the previous edition.

Desai, known for his successful stint with the national team, brings valuable experience and familiarity with Nepalese cricket culture.

The franchise had earlier announced their retentions for the season, which include marquee player Karan KC, Bhim Sharki, Shahab Alam, Dipesh Kandel, Prateek Shrestha, and Rashid Khan.
