Lumbini and Madhesh clinch victory on day three

Lumbini and Madhesh Province registered a win on day three of the Koshi Province National T20 Tournament on Thursday at Baijanathpur Cricket Ground.

Opting to bat first, Gandaki bundled out 90 runs in 17.1 overs which was chased down in 16.1 overs by Lumbini, losing three wickets.

Gandaki were 60-2 till the 8th over with the top three scoring the majority of the runs in the miserable batting collapse. Deepak Dumre scored 28 off 30 balls hitting three boundaries. Bir Magar returned the exceptional figures of 4-16 in 3.1 overs for Lumbini.

Dev Khanal top-scored for the winning side with 27-ball 34 leasing with three fours and two sixes. Subash Bhandari put in his effort with two wickets in four overs, giving away 16 runs.

On the second match of the day, picked up three wickets in four balls to restrict the home team to 117 in 19.4 overs. Madhesh took 19.3 overs to chase down the target, losing seven wickets.

Ranjit Kumar also had three scalps for the winning side with the figures of 3-23 in his four overs. Shrawan Yadav scored 23 off 9 balls including two sixes and a four.

Araniko Yadav scored 27 off 37 in the successful run-chase for Madhesh. Dipesh Kadel was excellent with his bowling, picking up three wickets in his four overs
