Karnali Yaks have announced their retention list for the third season of the Nepal Premier League, retaining a mix of national team regulars and emerging talents.

Among the notable retentions are young spinners Yuvraj Khatri and Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri, both of whom have earned places in the franchise's core group. Bipin Sharma, who joined the team through the talent hunt programme ahead of the inaugural season, has been released after a difficult second campaign.

Karnali have also shown faith in young wicketkeeper-batter Deepak Dumre, retaining him ahead of the more experienced Arjun Gharti. Pawan Sarraf, who was acquired for Rs 15 lakh ahead of the second season, has also been retained.

The franchise has kept hold of its national team trio of Sompal Kami, Gulshan Jha and Nandan Yadav as it looks to build continuity heading into the new season.

Retained players: Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Gulshan Jha, Pawan Sarraf, Deepak Dumre, Yuvraj Khatri, Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri.

Released players: Bipin Sharma, Arjun Gharti, Manish Thapa, Dipendra Rawat and Imran Sheikh.
