Junaid takes six as UAE defeat Oman twice in the series

Junaid Siddique’s brilliant six-wicket haul powered the UAE to a 54-run victory over Oman, sealing a second win against them in the ongoing CWC League 2 series. 

UAE posted a strong total of 308-8 in a rain-affected 47-over innings after a delayed start due to a wet outfield. Harpreet Singh Bhatia led the charge with 77 runs, while Muhammad Shahzad added 74. Adeeb Usmani contributed 72 and Aryansh Sharma chipped in with a steady 50. 

For Oman, Muhammed Imran picked up three wickets, while Nadeem Khan took two. Shakeel Ahmad and Aryan Bisht claimed one wicket each. 

In reply, Oman were bowled out for 254 in 39.5 overs despite a fighting effort from Jiten Ramanandi, who remained unbeaten on 91. Hammad Mirza scored 83, while Aryan Bisht added 27. 

Junaid Siddique starred with the ball, claiming 6-49 in 7.5 overs, while Shahzad and Muhammad Jawadullah supported with two and one wickets respectively. 

UAE had also beaten Oman in their earlier meeting in the series, although they suffered two defeats against Nepal. 

Oman, who previously defeated Nepal, will now face them again in the final match of the series on Tuesday.
