Janakpur Bolts release marquee Asif Sheikh ahead of NPL Season 3
Janakpur Bolts have made a bold move ahead of the third season of the Nepal Premier League, releasing marquee batter Asif Sheikh in a surprising retention list announcement.
Alongside Asif, the franchise has also released Kishore Mahato, Sachin Bhatta, Subh Kansakar, Pappu Yadav, Rupesh Singh and Tul Bahadur Thapa.
Captain Anil Sah will continue to lead the side after being retained, alongside Aditya Mahata, Bikash Aagri, Mayan Yadav and Lalit Rajbanshi.
Asif Sheikh has become the first marquee player to be released by any team in the Nepal Premier League, marking a significant headline in the build-up to Season 3.
