A fiery new-ball spell from Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismantled Delhi Capitals for just 75, setting up Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s dominant nine-wicket victory in the Indian Premier League.

RCB registered a comfortable win by 9 wickets. Chasing a modest target of 76 runs, RCB completed the chase in just 6.3 overs, losing only one wicket.

Devdutt Padikkal remained unbeaten on 34, while Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 23. Jacob Bethell chipped in with 20 runs, while Kyle Jamieson claimed the only wicket for Delhi.

Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals suffered a dramatic collapse and were bowled out for just 75 runs in 16.3 overs. They lost six wickets for just 8 runs in a disastrous start.

Sahil Parakh was dismissed for a duck on the second ball of the innings, followed by KL Rahul, who fell with the score at 2. Sameer Rizvi also departed cheaply as Delhi slumped to 2-3.

Tristan Stubbs and captain Axar Patel fell soon after, and when Nitish Rana was dismissed at 8, Delhi were reeling at 8-6. A brief resistance came through Abishek Porel and David Miller, who added 35 runs for the seventh wicket.

Miller scored 19 before getting out, while Jamieson (12) and Kuldeep Yadav (5) could not contribute much. Porel was the last man dismissed for 30 as Delhi were bundled out for 75.

Hazlewood led the bowling attack with outstanding figures of 4 wickets for 12 runs in 3.3 overs, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 3 wickets for just 5 runs in 3 overs.

Rasikh Salam, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya took one wicket each.

With this emphatic win, RCB stay second on the table with 12 points from 8 matches, while Delhi Capitals remain seventh with 6 points from 8 games.
