Dhruv Patel performs all-round as Baroda outplay Nepal
Dhruv Patel picked four wickets to hand Baroda a 43-run win against Nepal in the last group stage match of the SMS Friendship Cup on Friday at Sai Meghpan SportsLife Ground.
Electing to bat first, Baroda posted 156-8 in 20 overs. Nepal could only manage to score 119 runs in 20 overs.
Baroda recovered from 63-3 at the halfway stage with Shashwat Rawat scoring 27-ball 31. Dhruv Patel contributed a quick-fire 29 off 14 balls.
Gulshan Jha (2-29) and Karan KC (2-35) picked up two wickets apiece for Nepal.
Dhruv Patel returned the figures of 4-16 to dismantle Nepal’s batting line-up. Lakshit Toksiya picked three wickets, expending 15 runs in his four overs.
Sandeep Jora’s 43-ball 56 was only a spark in Nepal’s batting line-up.
