Cricket Association of Nepal includes 49 players in central contract for 2024

The Cricket Association of Nepal enlisted 49 players in their central contract for the 2024 season. The list includes 30 men and 19 women players in five different categories.

The latest board meeting categorizes the players into five grades. Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Dipendra Singh Airee, Aasif Sheikh, and Kushal Bhurtel are placed in Grade A and they will get a whopping 1,00,000/- Nepalese rupees per month for this season.

Six players are included in Grade B with 70,000/- pay per month. Similarly, Grade C players will be rewarded with 55,000/- every month followed by 35,000/- and 25,000/- for Grade D and Emerging Category respectively. Seven emerging players from all the provinces are uniformly categorized in the Emerging Category.

On the other hand, Indu Barma, Rubina Chhetry, and Sita Rana Magar are credited with Grade A contract. They will receive 50,000/- Nepalese rupees per month for the 2024 season. Grade B players will get 35,000/- with 30,000/-, 25,000/- and 20,000/- respectively for Grade C, Grade D, and Emerging Category.

Previously, only 18 men and 11 women were involved in the contract with the highest pay of 60,000/- and 18,000/- respectively.

Emerging Category – Dipesh Kandel (Koshi), Rupesh Singh (Madhesh), Rijan Dhakal (Bagmati), Bipin Khatri (Gandaki), Dev Khanal (Lumbini), Arjun Gharti (Karnali), Hemant Dhami (Sudur Paschim)

Female Cricketers

Grade A – Indu Barma, Rubina Chettri, Sita Rana Magar

Grade B – Kabita Kunwar

Grade C – Puja Mahato, Ashmina Karmacharya

Grade D – Apsari Begam, Kabita Joshi, Sangita Rai, Kajol Shrestha, Bindu Rawal

Emerging Category – Soni Pakhrin, Khushi Dangol, Jyotsnika Marasini, Kanchan Shrestha, Rubi Poddar, Shristhi Jaisi, Samjhana Kumari Khadka, Sana Pravin.
