Chitwan Rhinos tighten batting line-up with Arjun Saud and Dev Khanal

Chitwan Rhinos were the highest spenders in the NPL mini-auction, focused on fixing their batting struggles from the first season. Their run-scoring last year depended heavily on Ravi Bopara and captain Kushal Malla.

Retention saw only one experienced batter in Kushal Malla, alongside young talents Deepak Bohara, Rijan Dhakal, Kamal Singh Airee, Gautam KC, and Amar Singh Routela.

The crucial wicketkeeping role has been strengthened by the addition of Arjun Saud, bought for 15 Lakhs. The franchise has again trusted Bipin Rawal as backup keeper.

Dev Khanal is expected to provide solidity at the top of the order. The allrounders list features Bipin Acharya, who can chip in with his off-spin in the middle overs.

Left-arm orthodox spinner Ranjit Kumar returns to the squad, secured at his base price of 2 Lakhs.

Led by Kushal Malla, the young Rhinos squad looks well-balanced. The main concern remains the pace attack, which will need more support alongside Rijan Dhakal and Kamal Singh Airee. The team will also look for experience in the batting line-up to complement the likes of Ravi Bopara, especially to take the innings deeper.
