The Cricket Association of Nepal enlisted 40 players to participate in the preliminary camp of the Nepal ‘A’ squad. Nepal ‘A’ are scheduled to play three one-day matches and as many Twenty20 matches against the Ireland Wolves.

Twenty20 will kick off on the 28th of March, while the longer format will get underway on the 3rd of April.

CAN formed their ‘A’ team last month with an ambition to prepare the back-up for the senior side. They released a 36-player pool before announcing the final 18 for the Canada series.

Kamal Khatri missed out from the previously announced 36 players, while Narayan Joshi, Pawan Sarraf, Dev Khanal, Aarif Sheikh, and Bhim Sharki are the new additions to the list. Aarif, Dev, Pawan, and Bhim were playing for Nepal against Namibia and the Netherlands during Nepal A’s last series against Canada. These players are considered fifty-over specialists, so they are expected to be around the A side with the main team gearing up for the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup.
