CAN announces Nepal ‘A’ squads for both formats

The Cricket Association of Nepal announced the Nepal ‘A’ team for both formats to participate in the Ireland Wolves series at TU International Cricket Ground.

The Twenty20 series will kick off on 28th March while the One Day series will be underway from 3rd April this year.

Binod Bhandari will lead the side in both formats. Apart from skipper Binod, Dev Khanal, Aarif Sheikh, Bashir Ahmed, Kamal Singh Airee, and Bikash Agri are among the six players to feature in both squads.

Hemant Dhami, Bipin Khatri, Sagar Dhakal, Rashid Khan, Narayan Joshi, Arjun Gharti, Kiran Thagunna, Pawan Sarraf, and Lokesh Bam are specifically roped in for the shorter format.

Bhim Sharki, Arjun Saud, Arjun Kumar, Naren Bhatta, Shahab Alam, Ranjit Kumar, Rupesh Singh, Rijan Dhakal, and Mausham Dhakal made the final cut in the 15-man One Day Squad.

Sujan Thapaliya, Ashutosh Ghiraiya, Bibek Yadav, Mayan Yadav, and Sher Malla missed out on the squad. They were with the team in the previous series against Canada XI.

Nepal will face the visiting side for two Twenty20 matches on the 25th and 26th of March before the ‘A’ team comes into action.
