Tribhuwan Army Club stayed unbeaten in the Men’s PM Cup and have almost sealed a place in the final with a comfortable seven-wicket win over Sudurpaschim in Janakpur on Thursday.

Chasing 151, Army made light work of the target, getting there in just 20.2 overs. Captain Binod Bhandari led from the front with a commanding century — his fourth in the tournament — becoming the player with the most hundreds in PM Cup history. He struck 100 off 75 balls, hitting 12 fours and five sixes, before falling to Sher Malla.

Kushal Malla finished things off with a brisk 26 off 18 balls, clearing the ropes twice and finding the boundary twice.

Sudurpaschim’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs. Sher Malla picked up 2 for 52, while Milan Bohara accounted for the other wicket.

Earlier, Sudurpaschim had been rescued by Narayan Joshi after a top-order collapse. Reduced to 66 for 6, they were lifted by Narayan’s counterattacking 63 off 60 balls from No. 8, which included five sixes and three fours, taking the total to 150.

Basir Ahmad starred with the ball for Army, claiming his maiden five-wicket haul in the competition. He returned 5 for 35 from 9.1 overs, well supported by Naren Saud (2 for 28) and Shahab Alam (2 for 29), while Aakash Chand chipped in with one wicket.
