Tribhuwan Army Club moved to the top of the PM Cup points table with a comprehensive 138-run win over Karnali in Birgunj on Monday.

Chasing 268, Karnali were bowled out for 130 in 42.1 overs, never quite recovering after losing wickets at regular intervals. Bipin Shahi top-scored with 40, striking six boundaries, but lacked support from the other end as the chase faded early.

Basir Ahmad and Shahab Alam led the charge with the ball for Army, picking up three wickets each. Basir finished with 3 for 15, while Shahab returned 3 for 18. Aakash Chand chipped in with 2 for 37, with Naren Saud and Durgesh Gupta taking a wicket apiece.

Earlier, Army’s total was built around a commanding innings from wicketkeeper-batter Arjun Saud. He struck 121 off 120 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes, anchoring the innings after Army opted to bat. Basir Ahmad provided solid support with a patient 45 off 70 deliveries as Army posted 268 in 48 overs.

For Karnali, Dinesh Adhikari was the standout bowler with 4 for 23. Prakash Jaishi picked up three wickets, while Bipin Sharma, Raj Shah and Dipendra Rawat claimed one each.
