Finn Allen smashed a brilliant unbeaten century as Kolkata Knight Riders cruised to an eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals, registering their fourth straight win in the Indian Premier League.

Chasing a modest target of 143, Allen dominated from start to finish, scoring an unbeaten 100 and finishing the game in style with his 10th six.

It was the opener’s maiden IPL hundred and came in just his eighth innings. After a cautious start, Allen shifted gears spectacularly, particularly against DC’s spinners, finishing with a strike rate above 230.

Earlier, KKR’s bowlers had laid the foundation for victory by restricting Delhi to 142 for 8. Pathum Nissanka was the lone bright spot for Delhi with a quick-fire 50, but once he was dismissed, their innings lost momentum.

KKR’s spin trio of Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy tightened the screws through the middle overs, allowing Delhi just 11 runs in a crucial five-over stretch.

Roy picked up two key wickets, while Narine and Varun maintained relentless pressure.

A late cameo from Ashutosh Sharma lifted Delhi past 140, but the total was never enough as Allen’s explosive knock guided KKR home comfortably with plenty of balls to spare.

Delhi have meanwhile lost fourth game in their last six matches, pushing them down to 8th in the table whereas KKR go one step above to 7th.
