Nepal women register consecutive win against Malaysia

Nepal women secured their second consecutive victory over Malaysia women's team in the ongoing T20I series as part of preparations for the upcoming Asian Games.

Chasing a modest target of 83 runs, Nepal reached 83/3 in just 16 overs to claim a comfortable seven-wicket win in the second T20I.

Samjhana Khadka starred with an unbeaten 39, while Kabita Kunwar remained not out on 19. Sony Pakhrin also contributed 12 runs.

For Malaysia, Nur Dania, Aisya Elisa and Aina Hamizah picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Malaysia posted 82/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Aina Hamizah top-scored with 17, while Dhanushri made 15 and Ariana Natasha remained unbeaten on 13.

For Nepal, Kabita Kunwar, Riya Sharma and Rubina Chhetry claimed two wickets each, while Puja Mahato and Sita Rana Magar took one wicket apiece.

Nepal had also won the first match, successfully chasing 68 runs in a hard-fought contest.
