Nepal ‘A’ completed a clean sweep in their practice one-day matches against USA and Scotland, winning all four games ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series starting Tuesday at the TU International Cricket Stadium.

In their fourth and final practice match, Nepal ‘A’ secured a seven-run win over USA after successfully defending 264 at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Asked to bat first, Nepal ‘A’ posted 264 riding on Sundeep Jora’s 111 off 115 balls, which included nine boundaries and four sixes.

For USA, Saurabh Netravalkar picked up three wickets while conceding 21 runs from eight overs. Jasdeep Singh claimed two wickets, while Shubham Ranjane, Mohammad Mohsin, Milind Kumar and Rushil Ugarkar picked up one each.

USA’s chase was led by Shehan Jayasuriya, who scored 71 off 67 balls before being caught at long-off as the final wicket, handing Nepal ‘A’ a seven-run victory.

Sher Malla starred with the ball for Nepal ‘A’, returning 4 for 30 from 7.1 overs. Basir Ahmad claimed 3 for 44, while Shahab Alam and Pawan Sarraf chipped in with a wicket each.
